Ismoili Somoni In 1997, a monumental ensemble of the ruler

of the first state of the Tajiks Ismail Samani

with a scepter symbol of state power in the raised right hand.

The majesty and significance of the square are created by a huge arch with stalactites from the inside, a golden crown on top and a diameter of 5 m. The height of the building is from the level of 43 m. The arch is mounted on a high platform, inside which there is a pantheon museum with an exact replica of the 9th-10th-century Samanid dynasty mausoleum in Bukhara and the protocol room.
On both sides of the monument, there are bronze images of lions, a symbol of the inviolability of the state and the guarantor of peace and harmony in the country. A cascade of fountains with light and color and music compositions is arranged behind the arch throughout the esplanade.
